To Luleå, we shall go!!!

Rejoice with us!!!! June 17 is the date we’ll leave US soil again and head back “home” to Luleå, Sweden, arriving there June 18!! We are so thankful for all God has done in releasing our funding!! So now we are just about to finish our home school year for Gwen and the girls and turn to the task of packing!! Always a challenge!!! And Tony also turns to packing and taking care of all the last-minute details!!

As we go, we do have a major prayer request. To date, we have not been able to find housing in Luleå. There is a housing crisis there so we really need to see God intervene. So please do PRAY!!!! We won’t be homeless as we have friends there who will let us stay with them. But, we have been living in temporary housing for almost 2 years now and we are really longing to be settled in our own place!! I’m sure you understand.

The other prayer request is for the next 2 weeks as we pack up. Pray for us to stay on task and to handle all the bumps in the road that are coming up in front of us. Peace, patience with each other, determination to do what we need to do instead of what we want to do.

Thanks so much for standing with us!!!!

SPECIAL SUPPORT REPORT AND ANNOUNCEMENT!

In December, we needed to raise an additional $4,000/month within 12 months. We are so grateful that God has graciously released almost $2,600! We are in the last couple of months to reach our deadline to raise the balance of $1,400/month. Time is becoming very critical. We are looking for groups and individuals to put us “over-the-top” so we may return to minister Jesus to the Swedish people.

Do you realize that God has called us to be lifesavers in Sweden? If we don’t go tell Swedes about how to know and follow Jesus, they will spend eternity in hell. For us to go, we need others to send us. Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples of all nations either by going or sending others. Your financial involvement will directly impact where people will spend eternity. God may not call you to go; however, He does call you to send others. Wouldn’t it be a great blessing to know that even one Swede is in heaven because you sent us to be missionaries? Please prayerfully consider being a financial partner with us. You can go to http://www.uwm.org and click on “Give” to begin your ministry as a sender. You can also let us know if there are others you know with whom we can share our ministry – in your church, life group, family, friends, co-workers, etc. We need your help and we appreciate you doing this for us!

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT…WANT TO DOUBLE YOUR NEW PLEDGE?

How would you like to double the impact of your new pledge to our ministry? If you have been thinking about becoming a financial partner with us, now is the time to act! From now until October 12, 2013, one of our financial partners has made a generous offer to double any new pledges from individuals, up to a total of $200. These new pledges will continue to be matched for the next four years. For example, if a new donor pledges $200/month, that gift will be doubled to $400/month for four years! Or, if a new donor pledges $100/month, that gift will be doubled to $200/month for four years! This offer is valid only for the first $200 of new pledges received before October 12, so act now to double your gift!

Your new pledge becomes doubly effective during this next month. Won’t you please prayerfully consider joining our ministry right now? Simply go to http://www.uwm.org and click on “Give” to get started!

We are so grateful to God for our current financial and prayer partners. We could not be spiritual lifesavers without your involvement!

On the road again!

Well, we are about to begin our trip!! Super excited!!! That is after the packing is done!! LOL! Looking forward to all of our visits with family and friends!! Tony leaves for the Center of Intercultural Training where he’ll be doing a school on church planting. Then the girls and I will join him later in the week and begin our travels!

Please keep us in prayer for safety on the road for the next 4-6 weeks, Gwen and the girls as we continue home schooling on the road, and also for Tony’s dad to stay as healthy as he can so we can have a good visit with him. Pray for fruitful visits as we go and for the opportunity to meet and share with new people who will be interested in our mission in Sweden.

As always now, raising our financial support is very much on our minds and in our prayers. Please keep praying that our support increases and we’re able to return by the new school year for the girls in mid-August. Thanks!

Follow-up on Tony’s Dad

Thanks to all of you who prayed for Tony’s Dad. Dad was actually released from the hospital the same day he went in. He had some kind of nasty stomach bug and needed to be re-hydrated. I’ve talked with him several times since he’s been home and he’s re-gaining strength and seems okay, although he’s sometimes confused.

He has decided to go on hospice for his emphysema, which means he will continue with his breathing meds to make him comfortable, but he won’t receive any extraordinary treatments for the disease. As of now, we’re planning a long trip to see family and supporters from late March into April where we’ll drive south to Florida, west to Texas, north to Missouri, east to Ohio and eventually back to Pennsylvania, We’ll get to visit Dad in Fort Worth, TX sometime in April. Of course if his condition worsens, we’ll go there sooner. Please pray for Dad’s comfort and wisdom for us as we plan this trip.

If we’ll be passing you on this trip, let us know…we would love to see you and share about our ministry! We are forever humbled and grateful to those who love us and are part of our ministry!
